A Feria Nice Day...

Most newcomers to Montevideo think that Mercado del Puerto is the best market in town. Truth is, every Sunday, the city's most marvelous outdoor market, Feria Tristan Narvaja, is held over twenty-five city blocks halfway down its main street, 18 de Julio.
Once you enter, you quickly disappear into a sunny sycamore-lined maze with walls of dilapidated outdated architecture , towering ornate doors and shuttered arched windows. Every possible item in town is on display, from antiques to asado, baubles to books, collectibles to candles, flowers to furniture, harware to hand-me-downs and produce to pets...
